A Bungoma governor’s seat hopeful on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party lost his calm after learning that the outfit was rooting for a Ford Kenya candidate.
Zachariah Baraza sought to unseat Governor Wycliffe Wangamatio and even paid KSh 500,000 as his nomination fees in UDA ahead of the party primaries and later the August 9 contest. However, despite his bid, the UDA party declared support for the Senate speaker Kenneth Lusaka who will be seeking the seat on the Ford Kenya ticket.
Ford Kenya and UDA are partners in the Kenya Kwanza alliance alongside the ANC party and the choice for Lusaka is part of the Kenya Kwanza arrangement.
