Embakasi West MP George Theuri is no stranger to controversy, and his latest move has caused quite a buzz on social media.

 On Tuesday, April 5, Theuri shared a photo of himself walking around his constituency. He wore red shorts and a yellow t-shirt with his name on the back.

“Loving every moment mtaani(in the neighbourhood),” he captioned the snaps. However, what struck many was that the legislator was walking barefoot.

Many netizens inquired why the MP opted to walk around barefoot, and he responded that he was headed to the mosque for prayers.

Another inquired what he would do should he step on a piece of glass, and he responded with a question asking: “Where will doctors find food if they don’t have clients?”
