The Meta-owned platform said the new feature, which mirrors Twitter’s pinned tweets and TikTok’s pinned videos, is currently in the testing phase and is showing up for a few users.
“We’re testing a new feature that lets people feature posts on their profile,” a spokesperson from Meta told TechCrunch.
Users who have access to the feature are seeing a “Pin to your profile” option from the three-dot menu on a post.
The feature has seemingly been in the works for a while now, since a Twitter user @alex193a pointed it out in late January.

Instagram users can currently pin Stories on their profiles under the Highlights section, where they can be viewed even after the 24-hour expiry timeline.
When it is rolled out for all users, the new feature will enable one draw attention to content without followers needing to scroll down through past posts to look for it.
