Detectives from the DCI have revealed the new details following the unfortunate death of Ebbie Noel Samuel a form one student who died in 2019 at Gatanga CCM secondary school.
The school administration had provided a statement that Ebbie died after falling off from her bed at night, but after thorough investigation, the DCI report says the death wasn’t caused by an accident.In order to establish the actual circumstances that led to Ebbie’s death, the detectives sought to record statements from witnesses who include Ebbie’s friends and classmates.
DCI has established that on a fateful night, Ebbie had been assaulted severely by a senior member of the school’s administration on allegations that her hair had been styled contrary to school regulations. Ebbie went to bed on that fateful night with head injuries and didn’t wake up the following morning. Autopsy results showed that she died as a result of blunt force trauma.The DCI is also investigating conspiracy by the school administration which led to contradictory statements saying they have resulted conducting interviews with the students anonymously at their homes to avoid their victimization by the school.
