A 57-year-old man has committed suicide after hacking his wife with a panga, leaving her with serious injuries at Mithumo village in Nduluku, Makueni county.
According to the area assistant chief, the incident occurred on Sunday night where on suspecting he might have killed his wife, the old man fled.
His body was discovered on Monday morning hanging on a tree in his neighbor’s farm.
The woman was rushed to Mbumbuni hospital before she was transferred to Makueni referral hospital, where she is admitted in serious condition.
